THE ROUTE
Our itinerary starts from the center of Vittorio Veneto and considering its length it is perfectly suited to a mountain bike excursion.
In a short time we leave the plain to arrive in the heart of the first pre-alpine reliefs.
After the Serravalle pass we head north to turn west, towards Revine and continuing to the hamlet of Longhere.
The view that we can admire doing this climb is unparalleled, just think that on clear days it is possible to see the Venice Lagoon preceded by the slow degradation of the Morainic Hills that accompany the gaze.
Further on we take the so-called “Troi dei Pai”, as it follows the high voltage pylons.
This is perhaps one of the most beautiful trails in our area, especially for those who love technical routes to be done by mountain bike.
The route on this side passes most of the way through the S.I.C. (Site of Community Importance) of the Visentin Group and which represents a naturalistic area of particular value worthy of being safeguarded.
Resuming the road without even realizing we arrive in Nove and soon to the Dead Lake.
Shortly after having crossed the shore of the lake, the road passes alongside the immense quarry of Farra d’Alpago.
We are on the forest-pastoral road of Gaviol: very high rock walls, large boulders and immense rocky debris; here the vegetation is more reminiscent of a sub-alpine environment than the Treviso Pre-Alps.
From here the return can be completed by the normal route, perhaps taking advantage of a refreshment stop in one of the many public places that meet along the way.
